How to keep your car healthy this autumn.

Autumn has arrived and in just a few short weeks the clocks will go back an hour.

This is a perfect time of year to give your car a little TLC.

Even a brand-new lease car needs looking after and a few simple checks, that you can do yourself, will help to keep your car healthy as the drop in temperatures, changing road conditions and leaf-covered lanes throw up various challenges for you and your car.

Here are our top tips on how to give your car an Autumn check over but if anything concerns you, do contact your local garage to be on the safe side.

  1. Test all exterior lights
  2. Check your wiper blades are in good working order and make sure your windscreen wash is topped up
  3. Take a look at your tyres - check the tread depth and pressure (you should check tyre pressures on a regular basis, many new cars will have indicators if levels drop.)
  4. Check fluid levels - engine oil, brake fluid and radiator coolant
  5. Check your antifreeze and stock up on de-icer ready for the frosty mornings ahead!

Safe driving!
