You may be fond of Fords or barmy about BMWs but when it comes to choosing your new car, what are your must haves?
In a short survey we’ve uncovered an interesting top five…..it seems people go crazy for a cup holder!
Coming out on top was adequate space! Whether for a pushchair, golf clubs or dogs a large boot was the runaway number one need in our survey.
Close behind in second spot we had a tie between good fuel economy and heated seats! We guess if we asked the question in the summer the heated seats wouldn’t feature but running costs will always be important.
Another draw in third place between good looks/colour and parking sensors (to ensure those good looks aren’t spoilt!?) One responder said “I get that looks are subjective but surely everyone picks a car they like the look of and then applies other criteria.”
Safety and (perhaps the less important) good cup holders took joint fourth place! Safety speaks for itself and I have to agree that hot coffee being spilt due to inadequate cup holders is a bugbear!
Fifth place was awarded to good air conditioning – who can remember the days of winding all of the windows down to create adequate cooling on a hot day (come to think of it, who can remember a hot day?)
