Your new car must haves.

Your new car must haves.

From self parking modes, rear cameras and inbuilt sat nav (who still uses a map?) - new cars are choc-full of gadgets but what are your new car must haves?

We conducted a short survey and we’ve uncovered an interesting one that made it into the top five…..it seems people go crazy for a cup holder!

Here’s what people really, really want when they’re choosing a new car:

  1. SPACE. Whether for a pushchair, golf clubs or dogs a large boot was the runaway number one need in our survey.

  2. FUEL ECONOMY and HEATED SEATS tied in second place. Our survey showed that running costs trump looks and who are we to argue with a heated seat - once you’ve tried one you’ll never turn back!

  3. GOOD LOOKS and PARKING SENSORS were another tie for third spot. I think we’d all say we’d like to drive a car that looks good, of course that’s subjective and maybe the parking sensors are needed to ensure those good looks aren’t spoilt by dents and scrapes.

  4. SAFETY and CUPHOLDERS took joint fourth spot! Safety speaks for itself and whilst it’s not recommended that we eat or drink behind the wheel, somewhere to store that morning coffee is definitely welcome in my car!

  5. Last but not least fifth spot was awarded to GOOD AIR CON – who can remember the days of winding all of the windows down to create adequate cooling on a hot day? Well now I’m showing my age (yes kids, there was life before electric windows!)

A new car is one of the biggest outgoings you’ll have, so whether you choose to lease or buy we recommend you write down your wish list - that way the quotes you obtain will be spot on and you’ll have that cup holder you’ve always dreamed of!
