One rule of leasing a car is that permanent modifications are not allowed. For example you cannot add a tow bar to your car.
If you know you want to tow a caravan or trailer, it is best to speak to us at the time of ordering your car so we can discuss the best option for you.
Non-permanent modifications to your lease car are generally allowed but you should seek permission from your leasing company first.
One example of this is roof bars to enable a bike rack or roof box. Generally speaking you will be granted permission to fit these but you are responsible for ensuring the addition of items such as roof racks do not damage the vehicle in anyway.
Some customers want to ‘brand’ their lease car if they are using it for business. Car ‘wraps’ and decals again are generally ok (as long as permission is granted) as long as they are removed, with no damage prior to the vehicle’s return.
Our advice - if in doubt...ask! Your leasing company will be happy to help with any queries you have about what is and isn’t allowed.
