To celebrate St Georges Day (23 April) we’ve put together a list of car manufacturers still producing cars in England!
MINI
The Mini cooper is one of the most iconic cars ever made in Britain. Now owned by the BMW group, Mini have three plants across the UK that play a part in MINI production – The body panels are made in Swindon, petrol engines are produced in Plant Hams Hall, Plan Oxford is the heart of Mini, where all the parts are put together and the finished car rolls off the production line.

Nissan
The Nissan Qashqai has been built at Nissan's Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK (NMUK) Sunderland, Tyne and Wear plant since December 2006. It is the first model to be styled by Nissan Design Europe in London, with engineering development led by Nissan Technical Centre Europe (NTCE) in Cranfield, Bedfordshire.

Jaguar
Another one of Britain’s best loved car brands! The F-Pace SUV and XE are made in Solihull, whereas the F-TYPE, XJ and XF are made in Castle Bromwich, Birmingham.

Land Rover
Twinned with Jaguar, Land Rover is based in Coventry and operates two production facilities, with the Range Rover Evoque, and Discovery Sport being produced in Merseyside, whereas the Range Rover, Ronge Rover Sport and Discovery are made in Solihull. Recently, however Land Rover have announced cuts to their production facilities within the UK, due to uncertainty surrounding Brexit, and tax changes.

Lotus
Since Lotus was founded, the three main divisions of the company, Cars, Engineering & Racing have all been based at the headquarters, in Norfolk.
