Are you superstitious?

Unless you’re living under a rock you may have noticed it’s Friday the 13th!

If you’re superstitious perhaps you’d rather stay under said rock for the day! I’m sure most of us will be avoiding walking under ladders and hoping we don’t see any black cats. But what about car related superstitions.

We’ve collated some of the most weird and wonderful from our searching of the web. If you’ve any to add please share with us on our Facebook page.

Changing Your Oil Every 3,000 Miles - some say this is excessive, some say good for the car! But some are simply superstitious and 3,000 is a magic number for them.

Never letting your fuel levels go below half! There’s no logic to this one but lots of people do it!

Filling up your car with fuel and having to stop on a round number! £41.98...no!!! It has to be rounded up to £42...is this you?

Color of Your Car and Traffic Tickets. Some people tend to believe that the flashy color is attention grabbing but for all the wrong reasons. So would you go so far as to not purchase a red car because of this reputation?!

Throwing change under the seat of a new car. To wish good luck to the driver of a new car, some people throw a handful of change under the driver’s seat.

Tapping the Roof through a Yellow Light People seem to perform this ritual to help bring good luck.

Holding Your Breath Driving by a Cemetery Some people believe that you may inhale the spirit of a recently deceased individual if you don’t hold your breathe!

Bird Poop Is Good Luck. A car covered in bird poop is just gross...right? Apparently many believe it’s good luck (more likely to ruin the paint job we say!)
